tv_buzzworthy 10dbMONTICELLO – With the beginning of the spring semester just a few days away, the campus will likely experience some traffic congestion during the first week of classes.

To assist, Public Safety will be directing traffic at the four-way stop adjacent to the office of public safety in the morning and during the lunch hour. Please exercise caution when driving on campus.

Also, there is always an increased motivation and opportunity for some individuals to commit theft at this time of the academic year. Common items targeted include cell phones, textbooks, book bags, computer jump-drives, iPads, tablets, purses, etc. Please remind colleagues and friends to lock their vehicles, rooms and offices, and to never allow personal items of value to leave their sight. Remember, a thief only needs a few seconds to do his or her damage.

All UAM community members are encouraged to promptly report all crimes and public safety related incidents or concerns to the office of public safety at (870) 460-1083.

For emergencies, contact public safety at (870) 460-1000.
