UAM Softball Receives Votes In NFCA National Poll

MONTICELLO – Following a 6-3 start to the 2015 season, the University of Arkansas-Monticello’s softball team has received votes in this week’s National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25 Poll.

tv Sports reflection 10dbUAM received four votes in this week’s poll and would be tied for No. 35 in the nation in the NFCA went beyond the top 25. The Blossoms are among three Great American Conference teams to be recognized in this week’s release. Arkansas Tech is ranked No. 18 following four wins in the 8-State Classic this past weekend, while Southeastern Oklahoma State fell 20 spots to No. 24 with an overall record of 4-7.

The Blossoms have played only regional opponents this year, as is scheduled for the rest of the season. This is the first time UAM has been recognized in the NFCA national poll since the week two of the 2012 season.
