UAM Christmas Tree Lighting Set For Dec. 1

MONTICELLO — Students, faculty and staff of the University of Arkansas at Monticello will get the holiday season underway Dec. 1 with the lighting of the university Christmas tree at 5 p.m. in the John F. Gibson University Center.

tv_buzzworthy 10dbThe Christmas celebration will include a holiday meal, music by the UAM ChamberChoir and Jazz Ensemble, a recitation of “The Christmas Story” and a visit from Santa Claus. Shortly after 5 p.m., UAM Homecoming Queen Melissa Ohannes will light the tree. The evening will conclude with a presentation and tribute honoring retiring Chancellor and Mrs. Jack Lassiter.
