Women’s Golf Place 8th In Lady Red Wolf Classic

JONESBORO – The University of Arkansas-Monticello’s women’s golf team competed against seven NCAA Division I teams and finished eighth out of 10 total teams at the Lady Red Wolf Classic played at Sage Meadows Golf Club this past Monday and Tuesday.

tv Sports reflection 10dbThe Blossoms turned in team scores of 330 and 335 for a two-round total of 665. Host Arkansas State was the top team finisher at 609, followed by Stephen F. Austin at 615, Southern Illinois at 620 and Louisiana-Monroe at 628. UAM finished ahead of D1 opponents Texas-Pan American and Jackson State.

Individually, junior Pamela Quiatchon led the Blossoms in 31st place out of 56 participants with scores of 83 and 80. Sophomore Lauren Johnson tied for 36th at 82 and 84, freshman Frida Rydberg tied for 39th at 82 and 85, sophomore Sammy Rodriguez tied for 43rd at 84 and 86, and freshman Brianna Dickerson finished 52nd at 83 and 93.

SFA’s Erica Lautensack was the top individual finisher by four strokes with scores of 72 and 69.
