UAM Announces 2014 Homecoming Court

MONTICELLO — Twelve students have been selected to the 2014 homecoming court at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
The court was selected by a vote of the student body. The homecoming queen will be selected from the court, also by a vote of the student body, and crowned during pregame ceremonies at Convoy Leslie Cotton Boll Stadium this Saturday.

Members of the court are:

• Jessica Leanora Arrandondo of DeSoto, Tex., a senior music education major and the daughter of Remonia Arrandondo and Charles Gardner. She is a member of the marching band, symphonic band, flute choir, concert choir, chamber choir, music theater workshop, and Kappa Kappa Psi band fraternity.

• Taylor Ashcraft of Warren, a junior biology and biochemistry double major and the daughter of Kelly and Jerry Ashcraft. She is vice president of the UAM Ambassadors, a member of Sigma Zeta, and vice president of programming and ritual for Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority.

• Anna Macaul Lauhon of Hamburg, a junior P-4 early childhood education major and the daughter of Jackie and Angie Lauhon. She is a member of Renown, cheerleader captain, and a Kappa Alpha Order Southern Belle.

• Melissa Ohannes of Little Rock, a junior biology major and the daughter of John and Daphne Ratliff. She is a resident assistant in the Office of Residence Life and secretary of the Student Government Association.

• Hillary St. John Reynolds of Warren, a senior English major with a Spanish minor. She is thewife of Derek Reynolds and the daughter of Ron and Liz St. John. She is a member of the Foreign Language Club and vice president of Delta Zeta Epsilon foreign language honor society.

• Celina Janel Sanders of Warren, a senior accounting major and the daughter of Renita and Carl Abraham. She is president of Zeta Phi Beta sorority, a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, the Student Activities Board, the Residence HallAssociation, and the 2014-15 recipient of the Shay Gillespie Beta Sigma Leadership Scholarship.

• Bailey Michelle Simpson of DeWitt, a senior exercise science major and the daughter of Darin and Marcy Simpson and Kevin and Mikki Milliken. She is president of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority, a UAM Student Ambassador, and a member of Alpha Chi national collegiate honor society.

• Taylor Bliss Snider of Monticello, a senior chemistry major and the daughter of Gary and Gail Snider. She is president of Sigma Zeta national honor society for math and science,secretary of the Biology Club, a member of the Medical Sciences Club, and atutor for the School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences.

• Whitney Joyce Suber of Monticello, a senior natural sciences and psychology double major and the daughter of Latrina Suber and Greg Goodwin. She is president of Delta SigmaTheta sorority, a senator in the Student Government Association, and secretary of the national Panhellenic Council.

• Hanna Danielle Swaim of Kinta, Okla., a senior accounting major and the daughter of Keith Swaim and Ginger Bibee. Swaim is vice president of the Institution of Management Accountants.

• Bonnie Tigert of Atlanta, Tex., a senior music education major and the daughter of Pal and Tammy Tigert. She is a member of the marching band, concert band, concert choir, chamber choir, music theater workshop, Alpha Psi Gamma national choir and music theater service fraternity, vice president of Zeta Phi Beta sorority, president of the Greek Council, and president of the national Panhellenic Council.

• April Wright of Conway, a senior modern languages and political science double major and the daughter of Robert and Alice Wright. She is captain of the UAM Debate Team,president of Pi Kappa Alpha debate and forensics honor society, a member of the UAM delegation to the Arkansas Student Congress, and a member of Delta Zeta Epsilon modern languages honor society.
