Senior Day Highlights Final Sports Weekend

MONTICELLO – The University of Arkansas-Monticello’s Department of Athletics is set to wrap up its home sporting eventtv Sports reflection 10db schedule for the 2013-14 season this Friday and Saturday with regular season finales for both the baseball and softball teams.

The weekend’s schedule of events begins on Friday at 1 p.m. with a softball double header against Northwestern Oklahoma State at Blossoms Field. The baseball team opens its three-game series with Southern Arkansas on Friday with a single game at 2 p.m. at Weevils Field.

Both squads are back in action Saturday for Senior Day. The final two softball games against NWOSU get underway at 11 a.m. and the baseball double header against SAU is set to start at 1 p.m. Each squad will honor its seniors 30 minutes prior to Saturday’s first pitch.

The Blossoms roster features five seniors – Brittany Eitel, Beth Johnson, Hannah Pendley, Channing Tharpe and Courtney Wilson. The baseball team will be honoring a total of 11 seniors – Alex Lang, D’Marco Poindexter, Kade Garlington, Tyler Walker, Chad Miller, Justin Hollis, Ben Agredano, RussellWatts, Ray Johnson, Tyler Caruthers and Kody Coleman.

In addition to the action on the field on Saturday, UAM Athletics CorporatePartner Union Bank will be on site providing complimentary food and beverages tailgate style for fans in attendance. The Union Bank tent will be located down the left field line of Weevils Field, which is directly behind Blossoms Field.

For fans unable to be in attendance this weekend, UAM Athletics will switchbetween fields each day, providing live streaming video for Friday’s softball games and Saturday’s baseball games. There will be live stats for all three baseball games against SAU. Links to live coverage can be found at
