UAM Golf Concludes Season At GAC Championship

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The University of Arkansas-Monticello’s men’s and women’s golf teams finished the 2013-14 seasontv Sports reflection 10db this past Sunday-Tuesday at the Great American Conference Championships played at the Hot Springs Country Club.

The UAM men finished eighth out of 11 teams, while the women came in seventh out of nine teams.

The men posted a three-round team total of 927, led by sophomore Theodor Karlsson’s three-round score of 228 (74-78-76) to tie for 25th place individually out of 55 participants. Sophomore Ari Magnusson finished 31st at 232, sophomore Hunter Smith tied for 32nd at 233, freshman Bryan Witmer finished 46th at 239 and sophomore Billie Trawick finished 52nd at 244.

Sophomore Pamela Quiatchon led the UAM women with a three-round score of 242 to finish in a tie for 14th place individually out of 43 participants. Freshmen Lauren Johnson and Sammy Rodriguez each tied for 26th at 255 each. Sophomore Linda Williams carded a 292 for a 39th place finish. The UAM women posted athree-round team total of 1,044.

Henderson State won both men’s and women’s conference championships. HSU posted three top 10 finishers in both the men’s and women’s events.
