Jeff Longing

MONTICELLO — Jeff Longing, assistant professor of education at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, has been elected president-elect of the Arkansas Association of Teacher Educators.

   Longing joined the UAM faculty in 2003 and holds a bachelor of science degree from UAM. He also holds a master’s degree and educational doctorate from Northeast Louisiana University.

   The Arkansas Association of Teacher Educators is the state representative unit of the national Association of Teacher Educators, which was founded in 1920 as the only national, individual membership organization devoted solely to the improvement of teacher education for both school and campus-based teacher educators.
