Scott Bearden Named Featured Soloist For Fall Concert

tv_buzzworthy 10dbMONTICELLO— Baritone Scott Bearden will perform as the featured soloist with the University of Arkansas at Monticello concert choir in the ensemble’s fall concert December 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the UAM Fine Arts Center auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.

   Bearden, winner of the 2008 Irene Dalis Vocal Competition and the 2007 Chester Ludgin American Verdi Baritone Competition, will perform selections from Felix Mendelssohn’s oratorio Elijah.

   The choir will also perform selections by Orlando di Lasso, Carl Orff, Mack Wilberg and works to honor the centennial of composer Benjamin Britten, including his short cantata Rejoice in the Lamb.
