MONTICELLO-The new Health and Wellness Center on campus is located next to the University Center and is stocked with new state of the art work out equipment. Not only is it a great place for students to work out and get fit but it is also a place that provides the basic health care needed by the students, faculty and staff. Ms. Terri Richardson, RN is who will be taking care of you at the Health and Wellness Center

The Center offers many services which include:

• Emergency first aid.

• Health education, counseling and evaluations.

• Health screenings (blood pressure, blood sugar, body fat composition, cholesterol, strep A, pregnancy, etc.)

• Assessment, treatment and OTC medications for minor illnesses.

• Assessment and treatment for injuries.

• Specific care prescribed by physicians (injections, dressing changes, wound care, etc.)

• Assistance with proper use of the health care system through appropriate referrals.

• Self-care area that is monitored by student assistants.

The Health and Wellness Center is open from Monday – Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Students can use the facility on a drop-in basis, but to avoid a long waiting time appointments are encouraged.  Health Services will be holding a two day blood drive Sept. 31 to Oct. 1 for The American Red Cross which will be held in the UC Green Room from 11:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M.
