Important Dates For Fall 2013

tv_buzzworthy 10dbAug. 19 (Monday): Students who pay their tuition and fees by Monday, Aug. 12, will be allowed to make schedule changes between 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the Monticello location and between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Crossett and McGehee locations.

Aug. 19 (Monday): Orientation. Monticello campus – First-time freshmen students will receive details and scheduled orientation times by mail.

Crossett and McGehee campuses – Orientation will begin at 1 p.m. in the Student Services Center at the respective location for first-time freshmen and new transfer students.

Aug. 19 (Monday): Registration for night-only students and graduate students from 5 to 7 p.m. at Monticello (Harris Hall), Crossett and McGehee.

Aug. 20 (Tuesday): Open registration from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at each campus location.

Aug. 20 (Tuesday): Orientation for new transfer students at the Monticello location. Students will receive details and scheduled orientation times by mail.

Aug. 21 (Wednesday): First day of classes.

Aug. 21 (Wednesday): Admission deadline for new students, transfer students, and former UAM students.

Aug. 21-23 (Wednesday through Friday): Late registration. A $25 late registration fee will be assessed.

Aug. 21-23 (Wednesday through Friday): Students may make schedule changes.

Aug. 23 (Friday): Last day to register or add fall classes.

Sept. 2 (Monday): Labor Day Holiday. All offices and classes closed.

Sept. 14 (Saturday): Parent/Family Appreciation Day.

Sept. 25 (Wednesday): Last day to drop a first-8-week fast-track class. Grade will be W.

Oct. 4 (Friday): Deadline to apply for May graduation.

Oct. 14 (Monday): Last day of first 8-week fast-track classes.

Oct. 15 (Tuesday): First day of second 8-week fast-track classes.

Oct. 30 (Wednesday): Last day to drop a regular fall class (not applicable to fast-track classes). Grade will be W.

Nov. 4 (Monday): Preregistration for spring begins.

Nov. 15 (Friday): Preregistration for spring ends.

Nov. 18 (Monday): Last day to drop a second-8-week fast-track class. Grade will be W.

Nov. 26 (Tuesday): All classes (day, evening, and distance education) will meet as usual.

Nov. 27 (Wednesday): Classes closed. University offices open.

Nov. 28-29 (Thursday-Friday): Thanksgiving Holiday. All offices and classes closed.

Dec. 6 (Friday): Last day of classes.

Dec.  9-13 (Monday-Friday): Final exams.

Dec. 18 (Wednesday): Fall conferral of degrees and awards.
