tv_News 10dbMONTICELLO – The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) (www.uamont.edu/jobs) is seeking applicants for the position of financial aid analyst. This position works under general supervision and has frequent contact with students and faculty.

Responsibilities: This position will coordinate student loan processing for the University. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Manage the timely reporting of loans to the Common Origination and Disbursement system
• Coordinate summer financial aid
• Maintain records of entrance and exit counseling
• Determine eligibility for student loans
• Counsel borrowers regarding requirements for deferment, forbearance and consolidation options
• Coordinate the return of funds to the Direct Loan and Pell Program for R2T4 calculations
• Assist students and parents
• Liaise with loan servicers and guarantors
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include the formal education equivalent of a baccalaureate degree with a major in general business or related field; plus one year of experience in student financial aid or related area; must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Salary: Position is a grade C115 on the state pay plan with a beginning salary of $29,251 with excellent fringe benefits.
