MONTICELLO-The University of Arkansas at Monticello held a Preparing for Final Exams Workshop in Harris Hall Room 200 Tuesday, April 23 at 12:30tv_Around Campus 10db p.m.

The workshop was held to give students tips on how to better study and prepare for exams during finals week.

UAM’s Nyesia Driver presented a slide show on both good and bad study habits and techniques often used when preparing for a test.

Those in attendance were provided with handouts with information on schedule changes during finals week, organization of study time, plans for finishing the semester and other hints and tips.

Driver discussed how many students try cramming their study time the night before an exam and the results of this bad practice.

“I know a lot of people do it and by the end of the semester, they realize they learned nothing in that class,” Driver said.

Participants of the Final Exam Workshop also received several scantrons and a copy of the final examination schedule. This schedule can be viewed online at

In addition to the handouts, students were also awarded door prizes for attending the workshop.
