Graduate Student Receives Recognition For Poster

– Farhad Hossain Masum, a graduate student and research assistant in the School of Forest Resources at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, was honored by the Southern Forest Economist Workers at a recent conference at Auburn University. Masum’s poster spotlighting his research, entitled “Life Cycle Analysis of Cellulosic Bioenergy from Agroforestry System in Mississippi Alluvial Valley,” placed second among all research posters presented to the conference.

   A native of Bangladesh, Masum plans to pursue a doctorate after earning a master of science in forest resources degree at UAM. Masum is working with UAM forestry faculty members Sayeed Mehmood,  Matthew Pelkki and Hal Liechty.
