ECU closed out the game with six unanswered runs for the win, including a two-run pinch-hit single from Ethan Gold in the eighth to give the Tigers their final lead.

Senior Brent Noble (4-2) suffered the loss after allowing two runs (one earned) off two hits with two strikeouts in one inning of relief. Levin Keeton (1-0) earned the win for ECU after keeping UAM scoreless and not allowing any hits in the top of the eighth. Gabriel Martines earned his second save of the season after striking out three and allowing one hit in the top of the ninth inning.

Allday finished the game 3-for-5 at the plate with three extra base hits and three RBI. Eaves finished 2-for-3 with three RBI, while Miller was 2-for-5 with three RBI.

In the second game, UAM reverted back to its recent success out of its starting pitching with junior Logan Johnson tossing his second consecutive complete-game, earning the win to improve to 2-0 this season. Johnson allowing just two runs off four hits with four strikeouts and two walks in seven innings of work. ECU’s Gabriel Martines (4-4) took the loss after getting the save in game one after allowing five runs (two earned) off 10 hits with four strikeouts, also in a complete-game effort.

ECU scored its only runs in the bottom of the second on an RBI double from Kyle Watase followed by an RBI single from Josh Lavender.

UAM reached the scoreboard with three unearned runs in the top of the second thanks to a pair of ECU errors. Junior D’Marco Poindexter delivered the big blow in the rally with a two-run single. The Boll Weevils finalized the scoring in the top of the fifth on a two-run homerun from junior Ray Johnson.
