Campus To Host ‘College Goal Sunday’

MONTICELLO— Anyone planning to attend college next fall can complete one of the most important steps in getting ready for college by attending College College Goal Sunday logoGoal Sunday at the University of Arkansas at Monticello Sunday, March 10 from 2-4 p.m. in the Memorial Classroom Building.

   University officials will be on hand to help future students and their families fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, the college financial aid application.

   UAM is one of more than 30 locations across the state scheduled to host College Goal Sunday. The UAM Colleges of Technology at Crossett and McGehee will also serve as host sites.

   “This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone planning to go to college to tackle one of the most important steps in getting ready for college,” Susan Brewer said, UAM’s director of financial aid. “College Goal Sunday is a way for UAM and other participating institutions to make sure applying for financial aid does not become an obstacle that would keep anyone from going to college.”
