Campus Hosts Polar Plunge

tv_buzzworthy 10dbMONTICELLO – Area 12 Special Olympics is proud to announce the University of Arkansas at Monticello will again be the host of the 4th Annual Polar Plunge for Special Olympics fundraiser. The plunge will take place in Weevil Pond  Saturday, Feb. 16. Registration starts at 10 a.m., and the plunge will take place at 11:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to participate or just come out to support the plungers.

   This would be an excellent community service project for any Greek or student organization.  Teams/Plungers are needed to make this event a success.  A minimum of $50 per team member is required to be able to plunge. Awards will be given to all participants based on the amount of money each person raises. Tropies/plaques will also be presented to the individual and team who raise the most money. There will also be a costume contest with awards given to the individual and team with best costume.
